Happy Independence Day!
This weekend, your kids learned about Adoniram Judson. Born just 12 years after the Declaration of Independence was signed, Adoniram is considered the first American-born global missionary. He brought the Gospel to Burma (modern day Myanmar) and translated it into Burmese while also working on an English-Burmese dictionary for future missionaries. When Adoniram arrived in Burma, no one had ever heard about Jesus. By the time of his death in 1850, over 7,000 Burmese people had given their lives to Christ. What an amazing legacy!
